You will hear a lot about the “modern buyer” in sales circles. It is important, of course, to know your target personas and to align with their perspectives. I would, however, implore you to start by assessing the activity metrics of your team in relation to prospecting efforts.
Outside of an engaged and ongoing conversation most emails go to dead space along with those LinkedIn DM’s. These forms of communiqué have a place in the process, yes. But it’s a process that should start and end with a phone call.
